I can design and supply varying types of Ironwork to suit your budget from a basic everyday rose arch to a grand entrance walk way to your house.

Adding a focus point to your house or garden is something that I can help you visualise and work together to come up with the best plan for that.

I have built a reputation for being able to do the impossible once supplying a glazed dome to the roof of a Georgian house in Cheltenham.

Historic Ironwork Restoration

We prided ourselves in the restoration of the Golden Gates of Wood Norton being able to restore historic ironwork to a high standard and to the needs of the customer, we like to ensure that no authenticity is lost when the product is being restored. We can do  small restorations  and will work hard to be able to provide the service needed.

The biggest restoration project to have been undertaken was the Wood Norton gates. These gates where restored and put back in the rightful place in July 2019.

The process itself for restoration of historical ironwork is more intricate than creating something new because I pride myself in ensuring that little to no historic value is lost. The process also usually involves repairing assents that have broken or decayed over time. and tidying the piece of ironwork up, this may include to galvanise , paint and do any other specialist work towards restoration such as gold leaf.

Training & Taster Days

I also offer a one on one training day for Blacksmiths  who need help in pre exam practice or just to learn new methods.

I  also offer  a Tool making day where you can make anything from a centre punch to a hammer of your choice.

Another form or training I provide is work experience weeks for high school students across the county. in these work experience weeks I go over the basics of being a blacksmith and also how creative you can be with the job. We then normally go on to do some practical skills where students can create things over the week and can take them home at the end.

Gates & Railings

I have an excellent reputation for the design, construction of any type of gate or railing using traditional or Modern techniques in which to achieve the end result an item that is fit for purpose and pleasing to the eye.

Making very ornate railings comply to the necessary Building regulations.

I can design a new new set of gates or railings, or restore or correct current ones.

Sculptural iron work

I have a reputation with private clients and Local authorities where I design manufacture using modern techniques beautiful and stunning pieces of public art and items to adorn the most tiniest of garden that give feel and interpretation to blend into there surroundings.

I get commissioned to do Sculptures to work with charities for example the Unknown Warrior memorial this was a sculptural representation of a farrier and a war horse. This is the second of two horse sculptures I have created. I have also created a Phoenix sculpture which was created and auctioned off in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity.

I pride myself in putting peoples visions into metal.

Specialist Metal Work

Over the past 25 years I have always took time to experiment sometimes working with the most unstable of materials i.e. Brass, Aluminium, Copper and stainless to mix and match material types to get the desired effect.

Its when I do these sessions that I come up with new designs methods and inspiration to make a large piece or the very tiniest
